Training, Qualifications and Development

We pride ourselves on giving excellent training and support to our caregivers. Whether you are new to care or experienced you will find we tailor your training and development to suit your situation.

Induction Training

We run a highly comprehensive 5 day Induction Training Programme to the latest National Care Certificate.

The key areas covered during the week are:

  • National Care Certificate (a nationally approved programme)
  • Eclipse HomeCare Induction
  • Medication
  • Manual Handling
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Health & Safety
  • Fire Safety
  • Risk Management
  • Infection Control
  • Food Hygiene
  • Nutrition & Hydration
  • Safeguarding
  • Falls Awareness
  • Dementia
  • Palliative Care
  • and much more (30 courses in total)


Further Training & Development

Once you have completed your Induction Training and following Probation Period there is ongoing development for all our Caregivers. This starts with enrollment on to a Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care. This can take anything from 9 to 18 months. Don’t forget we paid for you time spent with tutors and that you get an automatic pay increase as soon as you have qualified.


Additional Specialist Training & Development

There are further opportunities to take higher Level 3 and even Level 5 Diplomas.

Plus we have 30 different courses covering all aspects of specialist care at home, such as Dementia Care, Palliative Care, Peg Feeding etc,


All of which lead to the development of a Meaningful Career full of opportunities with Eclipse HomeCare.

All our training is provided by fully qualified experts, mostly in-house with our own Training Manager and equipment (or if necessary by external professionals including County Council and Heart of Worcestershire training departments, local hospices and other specialist training providers). All in all you will find an approachable and highly supportive management team, keen to support you and your personal development.
