The advantages are that I felt very involved and enjoyed it, which made it easier to remember. The facilities are brilliant and it’s just near Worcester but in the countryside.

I was paid for all the training and shadowing which lasted for over 2 or 3 weeks and meant that I knew what I was doing before being I started.

My area team leader was always helping me out to begin with. You know your work pattern in advance and your rota is sent directly to your phone and you can clearly see from your pay slip how your pay is made up with travel time and mileage.

I am coming up for my third year and would recommend it to anyone who likes being out and about in the community with their own responsibility and the opportunity for lots of extra hours!’’
