Careers with Eclipse HomeCare

Our business is highly successful and growing fast and we love to invest in our Caregivers. This means lots of opportunities for career development and further qualifications – both out in the field (with clients ) and in the office (as part of the support team for clients and caregivers).

Caregiver Roles & Qualifications

If you want to pursue a career with formal qualifications in Health & Social Care then you have come to the right company. We run Apprenticeship Schemes for School Leavers and Mature Candidates in all our operational areas.

Immediate vocational opportunities open to you are:

1.  Caregiver

You are fully trained to the latest National Care Certificate (NCC) standard but not an Approved Caregiver until you are ‘signed off’ (when you have completed your probation period).

2.  Approved Caregiver

You are now ‘approved’ having been trained and ‘signed off’ to the latest National Care Certificate (NCC) standard.

3.  Caregiver with additional skills

We will encourage you to develop your skills and apply (and pay you) for additional training in key areas such as Dementia Care, Mental Health, Palliative Care, Apprentice Mentoring, Safeguarding, Epilepsy, Medication, Peg Feeding, and Parkinson’s Disease.

4.  Caregiver with Diploma Level 2

Once you are approved you will be automatically enrolled onto our next stage of professional qualifications and begin studying for a Diploma Level 2 QCF (formerly NVQ) in Health & Social Care.

5.  Caregiver with Diploma Level 3

Having completed your Level 2, you can further advance your professional qualifications through studying for a Diploma Level 3. Our Area Team Leaders are all developed to a minimum of this level.

6.  Caregiver with Diploma Level 5

Having completed your Levels 2 & 3, you can apply to be considered for a Diploma Level 5 (equivalent to degree standard).
